This review may not be helpful to you as I am a pumpkin spice latte drinking white girl. I've got skin like printer paper with a real fun jewphro. That being said, I love this line of products so much, I wanted to put in a good word.My hair is very thin and fine, very curly, and dries out really bad. It's like month old grass clippings that have been stuck in an electric socket. I've flirted with other products for textured hair, but so far, As I Am products is the only one to really get the job done. Even after being unfaithful, every time I return back to As I Am, it's like putting the water Jesus walked on into my hair. My curls get flattened out in a really weird Beethoven-esque way when my hair gets dry. As I Am somehow returns lushness back to my hair and my curls pop out once again. I've heard that it's really hard to get moisture back into you hair after it's gotten really dried out and damaged, but this seems to work a miracle. It's very very thick and smells GREAT for those who are wondering about those features. They don't water it down. High quality as far as I can tell.I am a white girl who grew up with a mom with straight hair who had no idea what she was doing, so it's pretty much just me on youtube trying to figure out hair care. Oh and also shyly walking into hair care product stores for black women while hoping I'm not offending anyone by invading someone else's cultural space, but then getting FANTASTIC advice and love from women in the store (which has strangely healed my baggage I had with my mom and has helped me trust more people in a way lolol. Did not see that coming.) I can't use Herbal Essence on this Jewphro like all the other pumpkin spice latte drinkers, so this is the stuff I use and it works great... Ok though seriously, everyone likes pumpkin spice lattes so maybe lay off, everyone. Just lemme have that one thing in the winter!
