Dax's Indian Hemp grease is truly wonderful. I've been raised on and am so used to Blue Magic, which I LOVE, but I wanted to branch out to Dax since I've heard nothing but great things about their grease products. What struck me immediately with this grease is that it DOESN'T HAVE COCONUT OIL!!!! It's actually one of the main reasons why I wanted this. Coconut oil does funky things to my 4C, afro-textured hair, from making it super-dry, to crunchy, to constantly shedding, to where it stunts my hair's growth, I just hate coconut oil and hate even more that just about 90% of black hair products have it as the second ingredient. Instead, this has cannabis seed oil, which is perhaps what gives this grease its gorgeous, olive-green color. Now, this grease is pretty thick, and I mean like, so thick that you really have to put your finger in there to get the grease out! BUT, what amazed me was how when used as a sealant, the grease just melts and is extremely super-oily, but that's not necessarily a bad thing because that's what my hair needs to stay moisturized for days/the whole week. And this stuff smells amazing, most say it smells like candy which it does, but it also reminds me of grapes, like very fruity but not in an overly sweet/gross way, and yet earthy at the same time with the herbs in there. I thought the herbs would stick out in my hair, but it kind of just disappears, or it just washes out easy. The hype is well-deserved. I wish the jar was bigger, though, but it just makes me even more excited to buy another one in the near future!
